As a performing DJ, Clipper has been described in many ways. But being creative, innovative & cutting edge are the 3 of the most common words used to describe Clipper’s style. And whilst him being at the vocal point of his career, he continues to make a name for himself by keeping on top and staying ahead of his game, not only in his choice of music, but with the way he likes to play it. Possessing the capabilities of manipulating his crowd through sound, Clipper maintains his form through his mixing. More enjoying his captivate ways of making two tracks sound like one whole remix with relative breaks & vocals, to the gut wrenching sounds of the Sub Bass & Synth’s. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his heritage’s love for reggae music and Dub, all which became infused with his love for House music,Clipper ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into his sets where he has picked apart and blended together all the pieces of these styles of music that he loves best: beautiful synth and bass work, ethereal backdrops, brooding bass lines and occasional vocal hooks which all feature on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling House beats. With over a decades worth of experience under his belt, he remains an open minded person with more than a great sense of direction and a continuous desire to learn new methods. He strives to reflect perfection in his work and has dedicated more than 100% of his time attaining his goals. His initial ambitions has taken him a very long way in the industry and his passion and love for it all keeps on growing. His work ethic combined with his unique style and character along with his taste in music makes him one DJ to keep your eye on in the future.

I was 16 when i got my hands on a pair of sound lab belt drives and a 2 channel mixer. started my career of playing oldskool garage . At 16 money was abit tight and every bit of cash i got i was straight in the record shop. i managed to land a slot on horror fm .12 til 2 sat night . my highlight of my career has got to be djing along side the godfather MC CREED at an event called TASTE. also FUNKATRON. GET YOUR VINYL OUT..D.M.F.A.O....THE BROTHERHOOD OF HOUSE just to name a few. Goya MusicMan, a passionate DJ, started his music journey in 1999 at just 16 years old. What began as a hobby turned into a career spanning over two decades. By 2008, he was already performing as a semi-professional DJ. He built his reputation playing at clubs like Platinum Lounge (2008-2009), Café del Khuze (2010-2012), and Dukes Grill Lounge (2011-2015). From 2016 to 2019, he became a freelancer, touring with King Maestro in various cities across South Africa. Between 2019 and 2021, he took a break from club gigs to study political science but continued making mixtapes for his podcast, The Goya MusicMan Show. In 2022, he helped create music event concepts for The Sauce Lifestyle Café in Polokwane, including the successful PLK Plastic Affair, which ran until 2024 and featured international DJs. In 2022, he was hired by Seventh House Ltd. to produce a jazz mix for Eddie Harris. Today, he runs Goya Music SA, an aspiring record label, and continues to DJ, create mixtapes, and train as a music producer under Victor Duba at Lepatata Records. His journey is all about passion, growth, and pushing boundaries in music.
